A Bible Believing Mission Minded Church

church03

A Brief History: Clarendon Baptist Church was organized March 19, 1908, at "Institute Hall" in Manning, SC.  It was not until August of that year that the church began with a regular pastor.  The first two years after the church was organized, services were held in Manning, inside the Court house.  Spring of 1910, the church was able to move to Alcolu, to a temporary building known as "The Chapel."  Membership had increased to 85 and by 1914 a new building was decided on and it was completed by autumn of 1914 and dedicated on September 13, 1914.
